Some of you might wonder, why in the world, there should be a blog post for one of the best known Facebook extension available ? Even, when there's hundreds of posts available in the Facebook itself for general knowledge. But, get this friends, there's lot more people who almost hates reading & often at the same time wastes so much time without knowing facts that they could've understood if they did the reading practice little bit better than they do now.
Did you ever lost one of the Emergency Facebook Message of your friend, just because you weren't online when your friend left it ?
This post is for you and it's in steps so, follow them, then you'd end up having a fun time using Facebook mobile Text Messaging Service, which is I think the best extension of Facebook.
Step 01 :
Look at the image below. Go to new setting Button in the right corner of your Facebook Home & hit Account Settings.
Step 02 :
Now, Wait until the Account Settings Page is loaded. Then, Look at the Left Corner of your Facebook Page. Find 'Mobile' Link and Click on it.
Step 03 :
Inside the Middle frame 'Mobile Settings' will be loaded. Then, Click on the Button 'Add Phone' to add your Phone Number if you've never done it before.
Step 04 :
Add your country & then automatically the service providers that the Facebook Text Messaging Service supports at the moment will be loaded. Choose your provider.
Look at the 'add your phone number here' link. Click on it.
Step 05 :
Add your phone Number. Don't worry about the country code as the country code is selected in default inside the drop down menu.
Step 06 :
When, you hit 'Continue', a text message will be sent to your added phone number which includes the 'Confirmation Code'.
Step 07 :
Enter the confirmation Code in the text box. If your confirmation code is correct, You'll be redirected to the next step.
Step 08 :
Then, you'll be asked to select your privacy options. For your knowledge, do not let your phone number to be seen by any Facebook users. Here, I used Only Me option in order to protect my phone number. Make sure you tick the 'Turn On text notifications'.
To make sure you've not shared your phone number, Go to your Profile & click 'Update Info' & check. Please know, that you'll be notified whenever there's a message left for you in Facebook. You can reply for the messages. But, replies will be charged (Typical Text Messaging Cost) depending on the service provider & country of yours.
That's it. Don't lose any of your message, now. Even, when you're not online. Ever !
